Boulanger Initiative
Megan was the Director of Education Advancement for Boulanger Initiative until 2023 when she moved to Chicago, IL. Boulanger Initiative is a Washington, DC-based organization that is dedicated to promoting the music of women and gender diverse composers through performance, commissioning, and education.
District New Music Coalition
Megan was a member of the Leadership Board of District New Music Coalition until 2023 when she moved to Chicago, IL. DNMC is a Washington, DC-based organization that promotes the performance and appreciation of contemporary music through concerts, conferences, and active community building.
Artifice Ensemble
Megan is was founding member, composer, and soprano for Artifice Ensemble. Artifice is a collective of choral singers, composers, and conductors that are dedicated to the continued performance and promotion of contemporary choral music.
Out of our shells
Out of Our Shells is a project that, through use of American University’s Humanities Truck as a mobile recording studio, recorded 14 DC-area artists’ original music and compiled them into a freely-accessible compilation. The project culminated with a live show at Rhizome DC on August 14, 2022.
equilibrium
On May 20, 2022, Megan DiGeorgio presented: Equilibrium, a composer-performer showcase. Equilibrium is a curated program of Megan’s original music, plus selections by other composers, performed by herself and collaborators.
